Dates that calculate themselves in your forms
Many reports ask for a date range that changes every time. Instead of typing it by hand, use a formula like in Excel and Work Less types the right date every day the task runs.

Examples of what you can automate
- Today minus 7 days: {{=TODAY()-7}}
- Monday of last week: {{=TODAY()-WEEKDAY(TODAY(),2)-6}}
- Last day of last month: {{=EOMONTH(TODAY(),-1)}}
- 5 business days ago: {{=WORKDAY(TODAY(),-5)}}
- In another format: {{=TEXT(TODAY()-7,"yyyy-mm-dd")}}
Works with date pickers
If the field only lets you pick the date from a calendar, the app types the date directly and closes the calendar. While recording, picking a day in the calendar becomes a “Type the date” step you can change to a formula.
More formulas
Text (UPPER, SUBSTITUTE, LEFT), numbers (ROUND, SUM) and conditions (IF, AND, OR), with the same names as Excel.
How it works
Frequently asked questions
Are the formulas like Excel's?
Yes, with the same names (TODAY, EDATE, EOMONTH, TEXT, IF…). Spanish names work too.
Can I test a formula first?
Yes: the editor instantly shows which date it would give today and has a guide with examples.
What date format does it use?
mm/dd/yyyy by default; with TEXT() you choose any other, like dd/mm/yyyy or yyyy-mm-dd.
