Work Less privacy policy

Last updated: October 26, 2026

Work Less (the website https://work-less.web.app and its Chrome extension) records the steps you take in Chrome and repeats them for you. This page explains what data it uses and where it is kept.

What data is stored

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe on its own checkout page. We never see or store your card details. Stripe tells us whether your subscription is active so we can enable the plan on your device. See Stripe's privacy policy.

What data is NOT uploaded

Where it is stored

Tasks are stored in your browser, with a backup copy in Google Firebase (Firestore) linked to your device's anonymous identifier. Only that device can read them. If you share a task with a code, a copy of its steps is stored that anyone with the code can open.

Desktop steps

With the Plus plan, the extension only talks to the Desktop Helper running on your own computer (address 127.0.0.1). The images you capture from the screen for a step are stored inside that task.

How the data is used

We use the data only to store and run your tasks. We don't sell it, we don't share it with third parties for advertising, and we don't use it for anything other than making the app work.

Deleting your data

You can delete any task from the app. Uninstalling the extension deletes the local copy and the device identifier. To also delete the cloud backup, write to us with your device ID (shown in Settings).
